Chinese oceanography, Ocean Research vessel Xian Yang Hong 1 was shown to the public this morning. General public was allowed to board the ship and they were given information about the research being done by the ship.
Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Mr.Wang Fukang also visited the ship.
This ship is the newest and the most advanced oceanography vessel of China. At the moment it is doing research in Maldivian territory.
The ship visited Male’ to refuel and to restock. It will leave Maldives on 28th of this month.
