President Yameen has inaugurated news services at IGMH. The government spent 120 million Rufiyaa on developing these facilities.
The new services include a eurorenal center and a fertility center. The centers are equipped with latest technology and they plan to start kidney transplant services next year.
President Yameen also opened a theatre complex tonight which has 4 theaters. These theaters were developed with latest equipment that can conduct major surgeries.
The capacity of ICU was increased from 8 to 15 and each bed has a separate cabin. Services like dialysis can be received from the bed.
In addition helpers of the sick people also has a special area with a prayer room. Furthermore, new facilities were introduced for people who needs respiratory treatments. Hence, now there are 65 beds providing critical care services.
In the ceremony held at IGMH last night, Zakat Fund donated some equipment to IGMH.
