The MD of STO Ahmed Shaheer have said that with this government, the country is heading towards an economic revolution.
He made this statement while speaking at a ceremony held tonight to celebrate the 3-year anniversary of President Yameen’s government. Shaheer said that within three years Maldives has gained hundreds of foreign investors. He said that billion dollar projects can be seen from all over Maldives.
He highlighted the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge and Hulhumale Second Phase reclamation project. He said that each of these project is worth billions of Rufiyaa.
Shaheer said that all the projects conducted by the current administration will be beneficial to the country in the long term. He said that with these projects the GDP of Maldives will increase and per capita income of Maldives will double. Shaheer said that the per capita income of Maldives will reach to 14000 dollars thus fulfilling the president’s pledge to double the per capita income.
In addition he said that Maldives has advanced a lot technologically and now Maldives is witnessing development never seen before.
