Ali Hussain the lawyer of Former Defence minister Colonel Nazim has said that Prosecutor General and all other prosecutors working under her should take responsibility for each day Colonel Nazim is denied justice.
Ali Hussain made this statement while speaking to the press after submitting a letter to PG office on behalf of Colonel Nazim’s family. He said that it is the PG’s responsibility to ensure that all citizens receive full legal protection.
“The case has now been proven against someone else. Another person’s finger print has been found on the bag where the pistol was kept. Another person’s (former VP Adheeb’s) DNA was found on a pistol. Hence now it is clear that the pistol has no relation to Colonel Nazim in anyway” said Ali Hussain.
Ali Hussain said that with these new-found evidence, it is the PG’s responsibility to request the Supreme Court open the case again. He said that the PG has the responsibility of freeing Nazim from these untrue accusations. Ali Hussain said that they submitted a letter to PG because she does not seem to care about these things at all and waits in silence.
He further said that he has never witnessed someone jailed unfairly like this openly.
