Maldivian flight which was flying to Chennai today, landed at Thiruvananthapuram due to bad weather at Chennai and the passengers has been sent to Chennai by land.
Maldivian said that they arranged this because, they do not have any hope of landing at Chennai even tomorrow due to bad weather. It will take around 18 hours to go to Chennai by train or by bus from Thiruvananthapuram. So they will reach Chennai in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Since the flight's final destination is Bangladesh, it has departed to Bangladesh after landing at Thiruvananthapuram.
The last flight which landed at Chennai landed this morning at 7:50 am.
The cyclone Vardah, has a wind speed of around 100 km/h and 300 trees has been uprooted all over Chennai because of the cyclone. Various vehicles were damaged and authorities report at least two casualties.
