The industrial village developed near Male’ by the government will lessen the load on the streets of Male’.
Due to lack of space, many streets of Male’ are being used to store construction materials. Once these storage places are relocated to the industrial village, the narrow streets of Male’ will not be so congested. The people of Male’ will get some breathing room.
Also, when workshops are relocated to the industrial village, the load on the streets will be reduced. Also, cars that are kept on the streets due to lack of spaces in garages, will be moved to the industrial village as well. This is quite needed both for garages and car owners.
STO plans to establish fueling points in the industrial village. This will help large and small boats to refuel easily. Also speed launches can refuel from there as well. The areas allocated for STO are being designed even now. Because of this oil tankers will no longer have to drive around Male’.
Because of all these things, industrial village will provide a lot of solutions to many problems in Male’. MTCC says that around 68 percent of all the work of the island has been completed now. Soon, that island can be used for industrial purposes.
