Two Maldivians who attacked two Bangladeshis in Adh.Dhangethi has been arrested and remanded for 7 days.
In the past 3 months, there have been 5 attempted rapes in Hulhumale’ by Bangladeshis. In these attempts, the victims were injured badly. However, no one has been arrested regarding these cases. After believing, that it will not be possible to get justice in these cases, close friends of the last victim tried taking justice on their hands. They even checked random Bangladeshis to see whether they had any injuries on their fingers. Because the last victim bit on the finger of her attacker.
When huge social issues such as this goes unsolved through the system, the people will take law on their hand. We have received information that youth of Hulhumale’ are trying to solve this problem on their own.
