Islamic Ministry have said that the activities that will be conducted this year to mark the day Maldives embraced Islam will show the religious unity of Maldives.
Speaking to the press, coordinator of Islamic Ministry Mohammed Musthafa said that activities to celebrate the day will start tomorrow and will go on till 31st of this month. He said that everyday there will be special TV shows in the afternoon for the rest of this month.
In addition, he said that there will be a special Dua after Maqrib prayers on 30th of December. Also, there will be a special function in Male’, Kulhuduhfushi, Addu City and Fuvahmulah.
The functions will be carried out in the official dialect of the respective regions. Furthermore, there will be a children’s evening on 31st of this month near Islamic Center. Also, all the mosques of Maldives will be cleaned on 31st of this month.
