General Manager of STO Construction Materials Abdul Waahid Moosa have said that the demand for their ready mix using in making concrete is very high and they receive orders every day.
Speaking to Miadhu News, Abdul Waahid said that customers will have the guarantee of buying a quality product.
“ We are preparing this mix by weighing all the materials automatically. All the materials will be in the correct proportions. The aggregate stones imported to Maldives are not usually at a uniform weight. Some sacks might have 4 to 5 kilograms less than it should have. So if it is used thinking it is 50 kilograms, then there will be problems in the concrete mixture” said Abdul Waahid.
Abdul Waahid said that because of this sometimes, the concrete dries very quickly and this is not how it should be. “ When you use the ready mix of STO these problems will not arise. Because it is made after testing the quality and all the raw materials are used in the appropriate proportions” said Abdul Waahid.
He said that using ready mix is also more economical.
Even though concrete work of buildings are contracted out to contractors, usually building owners buy concrete ready mix for themselves from STO to ensure that the concrete work is of high quality.
