14 Bangladeshis have been arrested in Male’ for gambling. Police media official said that they arrested 14 Bangladeshis aged between 45 and 25 last night from a house in Maafannu.
Police said that they confiscated over 13,000 Rufiyaa and playing cards from the scene. Gambling is completely prohibited in Maldives including the resorts. Gambling will result in the wrath of Allah and hence government has banned gambling in Maldives.
Time to time people get arrested for gambling and usually they are Bangladeshis.
