Education Ministry has banned sale and advertisement of energy drinks at schools.
A circular released by the ministry today states that, the ministry has decided to ban the sale of energy drinks and advertising such products at schools. In addition, energy drinks cannot sponsor school activities. This decision was taken to ensure that school children remain in good health.
Furthermore, energy drink advertisements cannot be displayed anywhere near a school. Students should not be able to see any energy drink advertisements when they are in the school, even from outside the school.
Education ministry has sent a list of energy drinks to the schools with the circular.
