Numerous amount of people has received services from the Addu Branch of Economic Ministry even on the first day.
When the office opened yesterday, a lot of people visited the office for various purposes. Also the businesses center in the office started functioning as well.
Speaking to Miadhu News, from the office the Assistant Director of the Office Aishath Rahma said that many services will be available within 4 5 hours. She said that various certificates and permits will be issued from the office and except for few things everything can be finished on the same day.
In addition, services like registering of foreign investments is also available at the office. Rahma said that even though Hulhumeedhoo does not have much people, they have a staff of the office in that Island as well.
“ Sometimes they will send us documents to sign. Usually we finish such documents also within 5 days. We also go to that island to provide services. “ said Rahma. She said that one of the biggest advantage of providing these services at Hulhumeedhoo is that they get all these benefits just from these islands. The newly opened office is connected with the ministry on the same network.
Hence they can conduct day to day activities very easily. They have also established a hotline to make them more efficient. They can be reached at 7916947. However, with this office all the services will be available and the people of Addu are expressing gratitude because of this.
