MP for Hulhudhoo constituency Muhammad Shahid have said that Addu can attain development when the council, the relevant authorities and the people work with any government that tries to develop Addu.
Speaking at a meeting organized by the Economic Minister to meet with business community of Addu, Shahid said that there are some among the leadership of Addu who does not want to do anything for the development of Addu during this government. He said that the development of Addu is hindered because of such people.
Shahid said that the President vowed to allocate land in Addu to develop hotels and so far no one has requested the President to allocate land plots to do this.
“ This is not right. The government is ready to serve the people of Addu. We have to make use of this opportunity. No one should hinder the development of Addu. Then we can develop Addu” said Shahid.
Speaking at the meeting Economic Minister Saeed said that Economic Ministry and Tourism Ministry are planning to facilitate development of hotels in Addu. “ That is to develop medium enterprises. Very soon will announce the details. “ said the Minister.
Shahid met with people from his constituency and assured that the President will develop all islands of Addu.
