Businesses of Addu City has stated that businesses in Addu will not prosper unless they people have more money.
The business community of Addu expressed this view in a meeting held with the business community of Addu and Economic Minister Muhammad Saeed. They requested to increase opportunities in the tourism sector in Addu. They requested for more job opportunities for people from Addu.
“ Unless Maldivians get jobs and improve their financial standards, they would not have any spending money” said a business owner. “Shops will get more customers when people have money” said another shop owner.
The business community shared various other difficulties they face with the Minister.
People need to have more money for businesses to prosper
