Housing Minister Dr.Muhammadh Muizzu have said that 25 percent of the construction work of the bridge has been completed within 1 year of work and that includes the most challenging parts of the construction work.
Speaking to the press he said that the work of pillars has now been completed and the work is being done ahead of the schedule.
China-Maldives Friendship bridge is being constructed with huge donations from the Chinese government. If we look at Maldives it is one of the most important projects going on right now. With the bridge the water and electricity networks of Male’ and Hulhumale’ will be connected so this will resolve many problems as well.
This bridge will be one of the most important infra structure development projects in the history of Maldives. The total cost of the project is 210 million dollars. The bridge is being constructed by a Chinese company.
The largest project undertaken by the government is the development of Velaanaa International Airport. The project costs over 800 million dollars. 2nd runway is also to be built by a Chinese company.
