Economic Ministry has decided to conduct monthly meetings with businesses in Addu city. Economic Minister Muhammad Saeed said that the purpose of this is to identify the problems they face and to understand the problems so that the ministry would be better equipped to resolve the issues.
The Minister noted that the government wants to see the business community in Addu to be developed parallelly to the developments the government is bringing to Addu. He said that since Addu City is the second most populated area of Maldives and since Addu has an international sea port and an airport, the city has huge potential for new businesses.
