An expat has suffered serious injuries in a road accident in Hulhumale’ this morning. The man was hit by a pickup that was driving at high speed.
According to police the accident occurred at around8:20 in the morning and now the man is being treated. The pickup driver is also an expat worker from Bangladesh. The pickup was driving at a really fast speed and it stopped only after it hit a tree.
Accidents in Hulhumale’ are common. The accident happened in the main street of Hulhumale’. Police conducted special operations to reduce accidents in Hulhumale’ during the new year. Vehicles were checked to see whether they had the required permits.
