President of Anti-Corruption Commission Hassan Luthfy have said that if no action are taken against people who has cases of corruption against them by investigative authorities, then corruption cannot be prevented.
He said this while speaking to Miadhu news, when Miadhu News asked about a case Saudi ACC is investigating on. They are investigating notary for some transaction that was done in Saudi Arabia. The president of the notary and 2 notaries and another staff has been dismissed from their positions.
He said that everyone should have the fear that they cannot remain in their positions after committing acts of corruption. He said that if this fear is not there, then corruption can never be stopped.
“ To prosecute someone, we first have to send it to PG. It takes a lot of time at that office. Then it goes to trial. A lot of time is taken during this period even. All this time, the suspect remains in the position. Then how will this person have any fear ? “questioned Luthfee.
He said that people fear Allah, and live as Allah has commanded because, they fear that if they do not, they will go to hell and face punishment.
A lot of people note that there are several people in high positions, who have committed serious cases of corruption and they will face multiple life sentences if prosecuted.
