Maldives Pension Office, STO, MACL and Mookai Investment has signed an agreement to provide human resources to the center for people with special needs in K.Guraidhoo.
Under this agreement, nurses specialized in psychiatry, therapists and other staffs will be provided. In a ceremony held this morning at health ministry, health minister Abdullah Nazim said that this is an important step to improve the facilities at the center.
Nazim said that the services of a psychiatrist is very important and that the government believes that people can be recovered through psychological treatment. “ The government not only wants to conduct developmental projects. It is also our priority to help those in need “ said the minister.
“ When the government assumed office, the center in Guraidhoo was also in need of special care. Now we are spending over 12 million Rufiyaa to renovate the building and the work is almost done” said the minister.
