Dunya’s return to the government shows the strength of government policies!
The hottest news in Maldives today is former Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon returning to the government as a state minister. A lot of people are admiring her for taking this decision while a lot of people are criticizing her action as well.

Dunya said that she joined the government to serve the people. She served the country well as Foreign Minister and defended the government’s policies.

Dunya left the government saying that she disagrees with the government’s policy to introduce capital punishment. However, she returned and the policies regarding death penalty has not changed.

This shows how solid the policies of the government are. It shows that she did not resign because there are flaws in the policies of the government.
She never said that she had any barrier in serving the public during her time as the minister.

Politicians often change their views on different matters. That is something that happens all the time. Not only in Maldives, but elsewhere in the world too. Also this is not new to this era in history, but has been happening since time immemorial.

A lot of people believe that former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom will support the current government’s policies or either remain silent.
We cannot always regard what politicians say as truth because this keeps repeating all the time.

Previously some people believed that, when the government decided to introduce death penalty, foreign countries will come and bomb Maldives. People thought that there will be a regime change in Maldives with foreign intervention like how terrorists were removed from Aleppo.

Recently, Home Minister Azleen assured that death penalty will be implemented in Maldives and that it is not something foreigners should interfere with.

Even if there is a public vote taken on this matter, it will be proven that the majority of Maldivians want this to happen. Maldivian will not go against the Holy Quran. Obviously, there will be people who oppose each and everything. But the large majority of Maldives will support the decision to implement death penalthy.

Allah is the most merciful. Allah asked to implement death penalty in Quran, so any one who denies to implement death penalty is not a true follower of Allah (SAW).
