Gateway School will be a model school in providing education through Islamic System: Qualitech
Qualitech Education Private Limited, the company that manages Gateway International School have said that they will make sure that the school is a model school in providing education through Islamic System.

Speaking to Miadhu News, the MD of the company Moosa Rasheed said that the schedule of the school is fixed in a way that the students can perform Zuhr prayers at the school. He said that the school has separate praying facilities for girls and boys. He also said that they have requested the teachers to take the students to pray during the prayer times.

Moosa Rasheed said that, the school will also organize religious lectures for the students.

He said that once they figured out that there were inappropriate content on the social studies books, they asked the parents to return it however the parents delayed returning the books. “ After checking the books, we decided to use the social studies book of the national curriculum. Then we checked to see whether the required amount of books were available. Once we were sure of that we informed the parents that the books will be changed “ said Moosa Rasheed.

He said that, they were not able to check the books properly because they received it very late and that they regret distributing the books without checking properly. “ We got around 35 days to do all these things. But this is not an excuse. Just saying that this is why that happened “ said Moosa Rasheed.

Moosa Rasheed said that he himself was unhappy as a person who has spent a lot of time in the education sector. He said that in future nothing of that sort will be repeated. Some people contacted Miadhu News, expressing anger over the decision made by the school not to use the books. Also some people contacted Moosa Rasheed asking why they have decided to change the books.

The parents were concerned because they were not sure of the school’s decision regarding the books. Parents were ensured on Friday night that, the school will not use the books.
