Deputy Economic Minister Abdullah Muhammad have said that the ministry will take action against the local market operated by Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) if they work against laws and regulations.
Speaking to Miadhu News, Abdullah said that a lot of people are complaining to the ministry because the plots in the markets are managed by foreigners.
“Due to these complains I checked it for myself and I found that most of them in the market are foreigners. Foreigners cannot be cashiers in Maldives. We request everyone to work with the government to solve these problems. Especially we need the help of NGOs like MNCCI to solve it” said Abdullah Muhammad.
He said that all parties should act according to the laws and regulations and no organization is exempted from it. He said that if anyone fails to obey these laws, the ministry will take relevant action.
