King Faisal Foundation of Saudi Arabia has decided to award King Salman with the award for serving Islam. This award is given annually by the foundation to people who do exemplary services in the path of the religion.
The decision was announced during a press conference by CEO of Faisal Foundation Prince Khalid Al-Faisal. King Salman will receive the award because of the work he has done to improve the services available for pilgrims in Mecca and Medina.
In addition, Professor at Lebanon University, Rizwan Al-Sayyid will win the Islamic Studies award from the foundation. Arabic Language Academy of Jordan will win the award for Arabic literature.
Professor Tademitshu Kishimoto of Okasa University of Japan will win an award in the field of medicine.
