CEO of MPL, Muhammad Junaid have said that as long as he is the CEO of MPL, he will not allow anyone to take unfair advantages through MPL.
Junaid said that those who spread false information about MPL are the people who tried to gain personally using MPL.
“ Some headlines say that MPL bought a boat for 5 million Rufiyaa. If we have to buy we will buy for 10 million even, but we will buy a quality one that deserves that much money “ said Junaid.
He said that at the moment they use a tug boat to transport food and water for MPL staffs at the harbor and that is very costly. He said that they purchased a boat to reduce these costs and the cost of this bought was around 3 million Rufiyaa.
“ We docked the boat and made some repairs so that it can be used to transport goods to Thilafushi also if needed. Also, that it can carry something like a water tank. So, that we won’t have to use a huge tug boat to carry just one tug boat” said Junaid
Junaid said that since there are establishments of MPL in Hulhumale’ and Thilafushi, using a small boat to transport cargo instead of a large tug boat will reduce the costs for fuel and operation.
“ They can give statements and media can keep on writing but we will do things in the most beneficial way for MPL “ said Junaid.
