Politicians should not use their positions as a “magic stick” to gain unfair advantages for their companies: Junaid
CEO of MPL Muhammad Junaid have said that, politicians should not use their positions in the government as a “magic stick” to gain unfair advantages for companies owned by them. He said that they should work hard and try to earn on their own.

Speaking on this regard he said that MPL is increasing revenues not by using the President’s name, but through hard work. Junaid urged CEO’s of other companies not to listen or get influenced by politicians who try to promote their personal interests using state owned companies.

Also, he said that he finds the work of a parliament member boring and said that he has no intention of running for a parliament seat ever.

Junaid said that, they bought reach stackers for 7 million Rufiya which was initially quoted as 35 million Rufiyaa by the same company. He said that however no media covered this story.

“Just check all documents of MPL to see if this is true or not. Then why would we try to buy a boat for 5 million and then use up 2 million” said Junaid. Since reach stackers were bought for 7 million Rufiyaa, that saves 28 million Rufiyaa from each reach sacker. Hence Junaid has saved 168 million Rufiyaa from 6 reach stackers. In addition, MPL spent only 140 million Rufiyaa on the new 22 vehicles ordered by the company. This is 28 million Rufiyaa less than the cost of reach stackers if they were bought for 35 million Rufiyaa per unit.

Junaid said that those who defame MPL are those who were involved in trying to procure reach stackers for 35 million Rufiyaa for MPL. “ They even sent quotation for 35 million and 32 million even. Such a high price compared to 7 million. Is this not a bit too much ? ” questioned Junaid.
