Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shiham said that it is a priority of the government to teach in Arabic medium.
Dr.Aishath Shihaam said that the government has changed the Arabic Medium school of Maldives which was found 38 years ago into an Islamic University. She said that Arabic language is taught in 42 schools even now and there are schools in Addu City and Kulhudhuhfushi which teaches in Arabic.
The minister said that Arabic will be taught in more schools as well. The minister thanked the President for his eagerness to introduce Arabic to schools and thanked the President.
