Bashi Competition named after Medam Fathimath Ibrahim to begin on February
Bashi Ball Association of Maldives have said that the Bashi competition named after Madam Fathimath Ibrahim will begin in the first week of February.

The association said that so far 50 teams have registered to take part in the competition. Also, some teams were unable to participate due to lack of time and information.
Bashi Ball Association said that they will make the next competition more perfect based on the experience of this year’s competition. Also they said that they have established focal points in the atolls.

Even though STO organizes Bashi competitions in a broader level, this is the first Bashi competition of a national level.

It should be noted that Medam Fathimath Ibrahim has undertaken a lot of work to develop the sport across the Maldives. She often meets with Bashi teams and also offered cash prizes in various Bashi competitions.
