Target of MCIF is to make Maldives the most developed in Islamic Finance : Dr.Muneeza

Chairperson of Maldives Center for Islamic Finance MCIF Dr.Aishath Muneeza have said that the purpose of MCIF is to make Maldives the most developed country in the field of Islamic Finance.

She made this statement while delivering a speech at an event held at Hotel Jen yesterday.

Even now Maldives is among the top 15 countries in terms of Islamic Finance. Islamic Financing in Maldives started in 2011. Hence within 5 years Maldives has achieved such a strong postion in Islamic Finance.

In addition, Dr.Muneeza is among the most notable female figures in the field of Islamic Finance.

She said that the purpose of MCIF is to promote the vulnerable economy of Maldives. Since the work of MCIF is accepted globally, it is possible to achieve this goal. She said that their biggest aim is to get the support of other countries to make Maldives the hub for Islamic Finance in this region.

She said that the purpose of Fin Talk is to create awareness among financial institutions about Islamic Finance. She said that such events will be held every three months.
