PPM’s Chief Advisor, President Yameen Abdul Gayyoom has met with senior figures of the party. However, no information about this meeting has been revealed.
The President met with the senior figures of PPM at a time PPM has released a statement asking others not to release statements on behalf of PPM, as a lot of people are complaining that other people such as PPM’s President keeps releasing statements criticizing the decisions of the party.
Speaking on Channel 13 last night the MP for Hoarafushi Muhammad Ismail said that a meeting can only be held in the name of PPM with the permission of the Chief Advisor of PPM. Speaking about the meeting that was to be held by President Maumoon last night, Ismail said that even President Maumoon can conduct meetings on behalf of PPM only after he gets permission from the Chief Advisor.
Ismail also said that a leader who ruled the country for 30 years is showing signs of defying court orders and said that it is a matter of great concern.
