Minister Thoriq Ibrahim has said that Nasheed should first come back to Maldives and complete his jail sentence and then talk about running for the President.
Speaking to the people of Dhiggaru, minister Thoriq said that in the past two days Nasheed has been telling the international media that he will return to Maldives to contest in the elections.
Thoriq said that no matter how many messages he is sending out this way, he will have to complete his jail sentence first if he wants to contest in the elections.
Thoriq said that Nasheed never delivered his pledges to the people and now he is worried that the current government is fulfilling its pledges to the people.
“ He gave 300 islands to family and friends. Projects were also given to family and friends” said Thoriq.
