President Yameen has inaugurated the water system of Dhiggaru this morning.
The government spent 25 million Rufiyaa to establish this system. 202 households in the island have now been connected with this system.
Two 20-ton water plants have been established in the island with a 500-ton water storage tank.
In addition, the sewage system project of the island was started today. The project was inaugurated by Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim. The total cost of the project is 28 million Rufiyaa.
The water system project was carried out by MWSC and the sewerage system project will be carried out by MWSC as well.
Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed of MWSC said that they will finish the project this year.
