President Yameen have said developing the airport with a cost of 1bn Dollars and landing largest aircrafts in the world at the airport was never imagined before.
Speaking to the people of Naalaafushi President said that he decided to invest a huge amount in the development of airport for the people. He said that he aims to develop the country and make the country prosperous. President said that he will revolutionize the transport industry of Maldives by connecting the whole country via airports.
President said that his plans to develop the country will only be a success if the present generation of Maldivians are more like our forefathers. “Travelers have written about how peaceful Maldives was before. No reason we cannot bring those days back” said the President.
President said that he is trying to wipe away the dark days seen in recent history of Maldives and for that he will need the support of the people.
President Yameen said that foreigners will not come to Maldives to develop Maldives and that it should be done by Maldivians. He asked everyone to work together for the development of Maldives.
