President Yameen have said that the students can study properly when streets are safe and things that disrupt studies are stopped.
Speaking to the people of F.Magoodhoo after opening Magoodhoo harbor, President Yameen said that years back only few students took part in O’levels but now thousands are taking part in it and getting good results.
He said that 80 percent of the students who do O level passing with good grades is a good achievement for the country. He also said that it should be noted that many Maldivian students are world top achievers in many subjects.
President assured that protesting on the streets and other things that disrupt students will be stopped by the government and will ensure an enabling environment for students. “ It was in recent history that schools were closed when only one teacher was missing” said the President.
President noted that the country should be stable if we want to attain development. In recent times the opposition has protested during the final exams. Even this year students near Henveyru complain due to the activities conducted by some parties in that area every night.
