Health Protection Agency have said that public health records show that the reported cases of dengue fever have increased in Male’ and some atolls.
A statement by HPA requests people to be more careful about dengue since there was a dengue outbreak even last year. In last year 1962 children were reported with dengue fever. That figure is a 4 percent increase compared to 2015.
HPA asked people to destroy mosquito breeding grounds and be wary of mosquito bites. The statement by HPA says that as usual they will conduct awareness programs regarding dengue fever even this year.
