Indian Ambassador to Maldives HE Akhilesh Mishra have said that Maldives and India are partners that can never be separated.
He made this statement while speaking at a ceremony held at Dharubaaruge last night to celebrate the 68th Republic Day of India.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Foreign Minister Dr.Asim. Speaking at the ceremony the ambassador said that values like loyalty, respect and assistance are important to retain friendships. He said that their values are strong between India and Maldives.
He said that with the will of God, the two countries are strong in many ways. He said that in addition to the geographical proximity, the love for each other between the people of two countries is also strong. He said that this relation started thousands of years ago.
Last night’s ceremony was attended by state dignitaries, Indian officials in the Maldives and diplomats of other countries.
