Tourists from India increased by 22 percent and it will still increase : Indian Ambassador
Indian Ambassador to Maldives Akhilesh Mishra said that Indian tourists to Maldives has increased by 22 percent and it will still increase.

Speaking at a ceremony held last night at Dharubaaruge to mark the 68thRepublic Day of India, the Ambassador said that number of tourists who visited last year was 67,000 and the year before it was 52,000. This is an increase of 22 percent and the ambassador said that he will work to increase this number.

He said that India always likes to share what they have with other countries. “Being selfish is a sign of ignorance. India is not selfish. We can only go forward by making others happy as well” said the ambassador.

Akhilesh Mishra said that India does not wish to see any country is a poor condition and hence India will always assist other countries in which they can.
