Council members including presidents and vice presidents of many island councils have joined the ruling party PPM.
Among the 31 members who newly joined PPM includes various MDP members, some independent members, a member of Adhalath Party and 3 members from Jumuhoory party.
In addition various other people joined PPM today.
Speaking on behalf of the councilors who joined PPM today, the President of Sh.Noomara council said that small island communities can only develop by working with the government. He also said that since the President is a capable leader, it is important to work with him.
President Yameen welcomed the members who joined PPM today. Speaking at the ceremony the spokesperson of President Yameen’s campaign office Ibrahim Muaz Ali said that more than 2000 new members joined the party during the weekend.
