Famous American hotel group, Dream Hotel Group has signed agreements to open 2 new resorts in the Maldives within the next three years.
They made these agreements with Ellaidhoo Manik a Maldivian businessman. As per the agreements one resort named Chatwal Maaga Maldives will be opened in 2019 and Dream Gasveli Maldives will be opened in 2020.
According to Dream Hotel Group, this is part of their plans to expand their businesses worldwide. They said that Chatwal Maaga Maldives, which is to be developed in Ari Atoll, will have 80 ultra-luxury villas, 6 private beach villas, 2 presidential villas and many other world class facilities.
Dream Gasveli is to be developed with 500 villas, duty free shopping complexes and with designer shops. Hence this resort will not be a vacation spot but also a place for those who like to shop. This concept of tourism will be introduced in the Maldives for the first time. This resort will also be the largest resort in the Indian Ocean.
The Managing Director for Asia Pacific region by Dream Hotels Group, Kevin Welas said that he has known Manik for a long time and he believes that they cannot find a better partner than Manik.
Manik entered the world of business during his school days. He started importing vegetables to Maldives with Stanely Pauls an Indian company. Later, he invested in the tourism sector.
