Cameras have been given to the first 350 participants of the photography course conducted by the government of Maldives. This course aims to make the youth of Maldives more productive.
The cameras were given at a ceremony held at Dharubaaruge last night. President and the first lady took part in the event. President and the first lady took a photograph with the participants of the course and also checked out a photo gallery made by the participants.
Speaking at the ceremony, Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shihaam said that the government aims to train youth from various fields and provide them with the opportunity to earn money from wherever they are. She said that this year, a computer personal course aiming to train 1000 youths will begin. She said that those who complete this course will be qualified enough to work in companies like google.
In addition, she said that those who complete this course can also work from home. “This is a field where you can work for an international company from your home” said the Minister.
