N.Landhoo team has won the first match of the Madam’ Faathun’s Bashi tournament. Landhoo won the match after playing against Maalhendhoo team.
The chief guest of today’s match was first lady Fathimath Ibrahim. The champion team of the tournament will get 100,000 Rufiyaa and the runner-up team will receive 75,000 Rufiyaa. The initial matches will be played at atoll level and then later at zone level. Semifinal and final match will be played in Male’.
This is the first ever bashi tournament in Maldives that is open for the whole country. When Madam Fathun visited Noonu atoll to officially start the competition, the islanders gave her a warm welcome and showed huge support to the Government.
