A research conducted by a renown travel magazine shows that the world will see the golden age of Maldivian tourism in 2020.
“Maldives will not only be known from famous brands. But also, Maldives will be known from the low-end tourists who will increasingly visit Maldives” says the magazine.
“One of the biggest advantage will be being able to travel to the Maldives easily. By 2020, Maldives will be the country with the most number of airports per square kilometer” says the magazine.
People who took part in the research noted the hospitable nature of the people. Also, that all Maldivians they met were willing and ready to help.
“We were able to go out of our guest house even at midnight. The streets are really safe. Maldives is much safer than our own countries” said a tourist according to the magazine.
In addition, the research says that the master plan of the government to promote the tourism industry of Maldives is very perfect and that the tourism minister Moosa Zameer assured that it will be implemented.
