Everyone believes that one of the most important human right is the right to life. However, for UN and the US the most important human right is freedom of religion and the freedom to be naked on the streets.
This is evident from the actions they take and from the things they say. They took actions against Maldives because Maldives does not allow same sex marriage and freedom of religion. The action they took is devastating for a lot fo Maldivians since a significant number of Maldivians are fishermen. The revenue from fish exports play a major role in the economy of Maldives as well. So, imposing huge tariffs on Maldivian products is directly harming a lot of Maldivians.
Muslims living in Myanmar today do not have the right to live. The security forces of Myanmar are killing them. They are killing women, children, and elderly without any exceptions. They are burning the houses of Muslims and raping women and children.
Even though reports of the UN acknowledge these things, so far they have not taken any action against the government of Myanmar. They have not done anything at all other than sending someone just to check the situation.
Hence listening to the UN when they talk about upholding human rights is a total waste of time. Only a fool will listen to these hypocrites.
