Ooredoo & Fine Taxi partners for taxi payments with m-Faisaa

Ooredoo Maldives and Fine Taxi today has announced the partnership to support m-Faisaa as the method of making payments for taxi. The partnership was formalised at a ceremony held today at Ooredoo headquarters, with the owner of Fine Taxi Mr. Ahmed Shihad, and Head of Sales at Ooredoo Maldives, Hussain Niyaz.

Under this partnership, all taxis operating under Fine Taxi will support Ooredoo m-Faisaa as a method of payment, allowing customers to use the secure and convenient service to make payments instantly, via their mobile phone.

Ooredoo Maldives Head of Sales, Hussain Niyaz said: “In alignment with our vision of a Digital Maldives, we are very pleased to partner with Fine Taxi to provide their customers with the convenience and ease of m-Faisaa, right from their mobile phones. We are confident that our partnership will add value to the everyday lives of our mutual customers.”

Owner of Fine Taxi, Mr Ahmed Shihad said: “This partnership enables digital payments for taxi services. Fine Taxi is proud to be the first taxi centre to partner with Ooredoo to start this useful service. This will be an added convenience for our customers, as it facilitates simple and easy transactions, which also solves the problem of change during payments.”

With today’s announcement, Ooredoo is offering up to 1000 MB free data every month for customers who use m-Faisaa to pay for Taxi service, 25% bonus credit for every prepaid recharge, 5% discount upon Postpaid bill pay, and exclusive discounts at selected m-Faisaa Merchants.

Guided by Ooredoo’s vision towards Digital Maldives, m-Faisaa was launched in July 2016, with the aim of providing local communities an easy, secure and affordable way to manage day to day financial transactions, through their mobile phone.

The service enables transactions to be carried out via a mobile account - a digital wallet tied to the customer’s mobile number and valid identification card. Ooredoo’s mWallet allows customers to transfer money, top up their prepaid accounts, pay merchants, and even pay their bills. Customers can easily deposited and withdraw money to their mobile account, through Ooredoo m-Faisaa Agents and Merchants situated across the nation.
