Heena Waleed has been appointed as the political director of Foreign Ministry.
According to sources, she has officially started working for the ministry starting from last Sunday. The post is a political post. She will be heading the Public Information Unit of the ministry.
Heena Waleed worked at Public Service Media for 17 years. She resigned from PSM a week back and said that she resigned because she plans to go for further studies. She said that she had no problems with PSM.
Heena Waleed started her carrier as a presenter at TVM and is among one of the most famous TV personalities in the Maldives.
