Health Minister Abdullah Nazim have said that facilities will be established as the 25-story building of IGMH is being completed.
Speaking to the press after checking the progress of the building, he said that by September of this year, the structure of the building will be completed. He said that, after a month from then, the interior work of the ground floor will begin.
“Sheets have been constructed in 6 floors. As they complete the building structure the interior work will also go on. With that, facilities will also be established. The government will spend on that. President Yameen mentioned in the presidential address even that the government will create a trust worthy health sector. That can be done by increasing the quality. We are working with that target in mind” said the minister.
Nazim said that the money spend on this building is not a huge amount considering the services that will be available from the building and also the speed of the construction.
Construction of this building is among one of the mega projects by this government. It is believed that the 25-story new building of IGMH, the Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale’ and the additions to the Hulhumale Hospital by Aasandha Company will revolutionize the health sector of Maldives.
