Economic Ministry have stated that, they plan to start accepting payments online.
Speaking to the press on Saturday, the registrar of companies Mariyam Visam said that they will start the service in the first week of March.
She said that once the system is established, people will no longer have to wait in ques to make payments. “On average 250 people receives services from counters daily. Once online system is up, number of people who gets services via the counter to make payments will be reduced significantly” said Visam.
In addition, she said that the revenue stamp needed to register companies, will be changed to an e-stamp so that companies can be registered easily. She said that once it is arranged, it will be very convenient for those who require the service.
Visam said that their target is to make sure that the people has easy access to services. She said that even now the ministry has introduced many new mechanisms in terms of service delivery.
