A workshop on protecting intellectual property has begun in Maldives.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop held at Salt Restaurant today, Economic Minister Muhammad Saeed said that the purpose of conducting such a workshop in Maldives with the help of international organizations is to make Maldives a country where intellectual properties are protected and traded according to international best practices.
The minister said that the work started by President Yameen to make Maldives a self-sufficient country can only be a success when development is achieved in all areas of trade. He said that if there is a failure in any area then there will be a gap and it will have a negative impact on all other areas of trade. Today’s workshop is being attended by related authorities and is being conducted with the help of a Japanese organization.
