MPL has gifted a 2000 Rufiyaa voucher to all players and officials of MPL hand ball team for winning the inter-office hand ball championship.
In a ceremony held at North Port Café this morning the vouchers and certificates of appreciation were awarded to the players by the CEO of MPL Muhammad Junaid. Speaking at the ceremony, Junaid said that while MPL is developing in their field, the staffs should also achieve in sports.
“MPL has a recreation club and a corporative society. So if the staffs want to take part in a competition, they will not have to seek assistance from outside sources. MPL will arrange everything” said Junaid. In addition, he said that the recreation club should be managed by the youth and that MPL has capable young people for that.
“When I went to customs, the head of the customs recreation club was the commissioner of customs. The first thing I did was to resign from the post and handed the post to a capable youth” said Junaid. He said that soon there will be an election to elect the president of MPL’s recreation club.
