“Cleaning Challenge” which began today will definetly clean Male’. This challenge was started by MPL today. MPL cleaned areas in addition to the areas assigned for MPL.
This challenge will be held once a week and each company will have to clean the area allocated for them. Next week MPL will compete with Bandos Island Resort. In the week after that Bandos will compete with another institution. Different institutions are taking part in this event as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Some years back, it was common to see the people clean the islands on their own as a social responsibility. However good habits like this are slowly disappearing. The government is working hard to bring back such good habits.
