The expo was officially inaugurated by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim. More than 1000 jobs will be offered at the expo. Twenty companies including government companies are taking part in this expo.
The expo was organized by HDC and Economic Ministry. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the expo the MD of HDC Muhammad Saiman said that more than 1000 jobs from resorts around Male' area will be offered at the expo.
"Government has increased the jobs available at Hulhumale' by three fold within 3 years and it will continue to increase" said Simon. He said that all of these are indicators that the economic policies of the government are a success. He said that real economic change is increased job opportunities and increase in income.
